Description
This document is a letter from Colonel Benjamin Hawkins, U.S. Agent to the Creeks, to an unnamed Governor of Georgia (probably David B. Mitchell, 1809-1813, 1815-1817), dated December 7, 1812. Hawkins reports to Mitchell that he has apprehended, for a second time, an unnamed male slave belonging to Elijah Walker.
