Expressing interest in the April 6-7 Colonial Conference in New York and explaining various aspects related to the Phelps-Stokes Fund's participation therein; noting why the Foundation has not formally affiliated with "other movements in the interest of Africa"; reminding him of the history and legacy of the "old Committee on Africa and Peace Aims"; noting the shifting emphasis of the organization and its very limited staff and resources; announcing a new activity, "namely an attempt to improve the status of the Negro rural minister"; and wishing him every success in the project.
