Description

Comments prepared for broadcast over WLIB Radio in New York City. -8- National evidence of the great doctrine of Brotherhood and equality which Jesus Christ taught the world, must pledge ourselves uncon- ditionalyy to the War on Poverty, regardless of race, creed, station in life, or party affiliation. President Johnson in a recent speech, so eloquently epito- mized the plight of the Negro when he said, "Until justice is bllind to color, until education is unaware of race, until oppor- tunity is unconcerned with the color of men's skin, Emancipation will be a Proclamation but not a fact. The cruel dark night of segreagation must end. The endurance of the Negro in the deep South facing heartles police and vicious dogs has a limit---A breaking point, that could well be pushed -more-
