Richard Mott visited Friends in Amawalk and Chappaqua. The Society has been "very much stripped" since the separation. Comments on Friends Boarding School and their local boarding school. Westchester County remiss in the antislavery cause; local Methodists influenced by Rees are opposed to emancipation; petitions sent to Washington are treated with scorn.
