Description
Frank Morton's daughters Vera Sharpley and Rosie Beasley explain that they'd like Grassmere to tell the story of "the ones that were here...taking care of the property," or their family.Frank Morton (1874-1962) came to work at Grassmere in 1919. He married Agnes Smith (app. 1874-1930) around 1895, and they raised their nine children together while they lived in a cabin on the property. Frank worked as a farm laborer on the site until his death. Albert Morton (1913-1973) was the fifth child of Frank and Agnes Morton. He lived on the property and worked for the Croft sisters after his father passed away.
