Description
Video of an interview in which president and former Georgia governor Jimmy Carter reminisces about witnessing Hank Aaron's record 715th home run. Carter begins by stating that it was the most exciting sports moment he had experienced. He then describes how the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce collected money to purchase a new Cadillac for Aaron as a congratulatory gift. Carter explains that he purchased a license plate that read "HR 715" and gave it to Aaron. He notes that a photograph of him presenting the license plate to Aaron was included in the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
