In this WSB newsfilm clip from April 5, 1968, former Georgia governor Carl Sanders calls on fellow Georgians to resolve racial tensions in the wake of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination in 1968. Sanders declares that young Georgians must "speak out against those who preach hatred." He demands that "purveyors of hate" take responsibility for creating dangerous situations.
