Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.On verso, the delivery address is "Rev. A. A. Phelps, New York."Charles Dexter Cleveland writes to Amos A. Phelps to propose actions to be taken right after Charles Turner Torrey's death. He also relates Heckrotte remark about Torrey, as quoted by his associates. He then expresses his approval of Phelps's reply to Beecher, and Barnes's book as well. Finally, he mentions that “the convention” can use the reformed Presbyterian Church for a meeting.
