African-American (Black) students and white pupils work arithmetic problems at the blackboard and write at desks in Miss Craig's classroom in Gilpin School at 29th (Twenty-ninth) and Stout Streets in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows a drawing on the blackboard of a fox and grapes that illustrates Aesop's fable "The Fox and the Grapes."
