Description

Holograph, signed with initials.Deborah Weston has given up hope of having a school of her own in New Bedford. Mrs. Ben Congdon may want to have Deborah's "schoolroom for her daughter." If Deborah gives up [having a schoolroom] now, she hopes to lose only $5 out of her own pocket. She could have managed a school of forty pupils. Even if her school supports itself during the winter, "I cannot bear to be labouring for nothing as it were-- Money to spend is what I want." She tells about the troubles of acquaintances.
