Description

This report provides an in-depth look and explanation into the child poverty statistics in 1996. Despite the booming economy enjoyed by many, children in the South comprised the greatest number of children without health care than any other US region. A state-by-state list of the southern states by counties with the number of poor children living in each county and that county's poverty rate is also included in the report.
