On election night I posted the following text on my Facebook page as it became clear that President-Elect Trump was going to win the election: "To all my sisters out there, despite what you are seeing on the television right now you are capable and strong and loved and your body is yours and nobody can take that away from you. To my African American, Mexican American and Muslim American brothers and sisters you are valued, and welcome, and loved. To my LGBTQ fellow Americans, we will defend your rights, to those who are differently abled, you are perfect and whole. And my isn't that a lot of us who fall into these categories, who have been openly degraded and devalued by a man who might very well be our president tomorrow morning. Stick together my loves, keep fighting for each other."
