Teacher resources for students at the 11th grade level in English, History, and the Visual Arts. Students will examine and defend persepctives involved in the notorious eighteenth-century "Zong Affair". It was a legal dispute not about the humanity of the enslaved Africans but about insuance liabilities. They will reflect on the social implications of such a case.
