Ethel Mayer is interviewed by Andy Muchin on July 13, 2005 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ethel discusses her childhood in Burlington, Wisconsin, her father's scrap metal business, and her siblings. Ethel also briefly discusses the Underground Railroad activity in Burlington. Ethel's mothers's brother, Max Leopold, was a Justice of the Peace in Arpin, Wisconsin and Ethel discusses his immigration to America and contributions to Arpin, Wisconsin.
