Description

The report gives revenue and expenses for the year. One source of income listed is the "Sales of captured African Slaves (being part of the proceeds of the sale of fifteen slaves)"; this earned the state almost $3,700. Among the expenses is a $300 payment to Enoch Parsons, who served as "Assistant Counsel in the African slave case."
