Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white, lined paper. In the head- spine corner of the page there is an embossed image of the U.S. Capitol surrounded by the words "Congress" and "Irving Mills". Above the salutation the number "8" is written in pencil and in the tail- spine corner, "V34,P6" is also written in pencil.George Thompson writes to William Lloyd Garrison that after spending time with his son, "Franky" [Francis Jackson Garrison], he has "learned with deep regret of your sickness." Thompson then tells him his lecture schedule and plans to travel to Philadelphia, pledging that he will return to Boston in time for the "subscription anniversary and the annual Mass. Anti Slavery Society."
