Description
Holograph, signed.James Miller M'Kim discusses a donation of five pounds. Mr. Jay will read in tomorrow's paper "that the organization of a national society in which he took an initial part has been completed." [This is a reference to the American Freedmen's Aid Union.] Bishop Matthew Simpson is president and William Lloyd Garrison is vice president. J. Miller M'Kim trusts that Maria W. Chapman will like The Nation.
