DescriptionElizabeth Abbott Garber (Mrs. Henry Ernest) took the photo of Goron Taylor's childhood home. Gordon, a singer and stage performer, wrote an autobiography, Born to Be, in 1929, which recounts his youth as an African-American in small-town Montana, and his experiences as a singer in 1920s Harlem, New York. He retired in White Sulphur Springs in 1971.
