Description
Located near the Lindell entrance to the Louisiana Purchase Exposition -- the 1904 World's Fair, the Model City and its Model Street presented up-to-date ideas for city services and other civic improvements. As a demonstration, sections of seven different paving materials were installed on the Model Street. Buildings seen on the west side of the Model Street include the Model City Hall (to the left of the workmen) and the Twin Cities Municipal Museum beside iton the east side of the street from the foreground are the Guild Hall, the San Francisco building, the Bungalow Restaurant and the New York City building.
