Carte-de-visite of Abby D. Munro shown in half portrait profile. She is sitting with her back facing foremost but her head turned in profile and her left side facing the camera. Her hair is parted at the center and then braided and wrapped into a bun at the back of her head. She wears a dark bodice with a high neck and a white ruffled lace collar. The print is cut into an oval shape and mounted on the card mount.Handwritten in graphite on the photograph below the image is the text "A. D. Manro Charleston" and "Miss Abby D. Manro 1876" is handwritten in ink on the mount below the print. There is a mark on the back of the photograph for Barnard's studio.The photograph is housed in the album 2017.30. The album page has a triple-lined, gold border framing the print. Handwritten in graphite in the lower left corner of the album page is the text "BARNARD 1876 / 263 King St. Charleston".
