Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper with an embossed oval in the head- spine corner containing a crown surrounded by the words "London Superfine". Above the oval, a checkmark and the number "9" are written in pencil.George Thompson writes to William Lloyd Garrison stating that "our excellent friend and brother H.C. Wright has kindly offered" to send a few lines from Thompson to Garrison back with his own letters. Thompson regrets not writing for some time but tells Garrison, "I know I love you, and I give you credit for the same knowledge." He tells Garrison that he is "in advance of those around you. While such is your poisition you will be the object of abuse ... and an enemy of your country" but "your consolation is that you are thus effecting ... the advancement of the public mind."
