Description

He appears to be shouting at Lackey, who is speaking into a microphone attached to a bullhorn; Roosevelt Barnett is standing between the two men. Several marches and demonstrations took place in Montgomery in June 1967. They were discussed in an article ("Marches Held in Capital") on pages 1 and 6 of The Southern Courier for June 17-18, 1967, and in an article ("Goals No Closer for Marchers in Capital") and a photo spread ("Montgomery Marches") on pages 1 and 3 of The Southern Courier for June 24-25, 1967.
