The Ramirez family roots given in speech by Dr. Augustine Ramirez before League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Introduction discusses the importance of knowing your family roots based on a speech by Alex Haley; talks about Ramirez family, starting with parents’ life in Mexico on up through immigration to Corona in the mid 1920’s. In 1977, Dr. Ramirez became the first Hispanic superintendent for the Corona-Norco Unified School District.
