The Edrene Cole Collection is a series of oral history interviews conducted in collaboration with the Art Tatum African American Resource Center at the Library, and named in honor of Edrene Cole (1931 - 2007), a noteworthy historian and educator in Toledo. This interview is conducted by Univeristy of Toledo professor Dr. William McKether. Ms. Ellis discusses her career as a teacher; the role of the church, especially the Warren African Methodist Episcopal Church, in the lives of its members; and her marriage to Clampton Boots Ellis.
