Description

This folder consists of some substantive reports and correspondence, interspersed by many lists. Among the documents are the following: "Outline for Local Organization" (guidelines for CORE volunteers); several 1965 field reports on civil rights activities in the Fourth District; a tentative agenda for a 1965 Fifth Congressional District CORE planning meeting; blank forms for CORE project managers to fill out monthly concerning their activities and expenses; a request from George Wiley for field reports for "MAC"; a 1964 (?) letter from a project manager in the field to George Wiley, assessing various volunteers and staffers and begging Wiley to visit for morale reasons; the draft (?) of a 1965 letter to national CORE offices with a proposed monthly budget compiled by local project directors; a December 1965 letter from Bob Gore in the national CORE office to field staffers about CORE's dire financial straits.
