Holograph, signed.Anne Warren Weston remarks that "it is a running fight here all the time." John A. Collins called and "acted in a very widower like way." Mrs. Maria W. Chapman wrote his official letter of introduction for his trip to England. [Collins went to England on Oct. 1 to raise money for the American Anti-Slavery Society.] Describes meeting (W. O.?) Duvall. Describes the contents of a letter received by Mrs. Chapman from Harriet Martineau. Gives news of family and friends.
