Description
Object is an enlarged print of an original. It depicts a profile view portrait of the first published African American poet in the United States of America. She is depicted in left facing profile,left elbow is resting on a sheet of paper while her chin rests on her upraised hand. Her right hand is holding a quill pen in it. Covering most of her hair is a white cap. Back of the wooden frame is in seven sections glued together. Eye hooks with picture frame wire are on either side of the frame.
