Description
Governor William Buckingham's "state of the state" address to the General Assembly in which he reports on the economy and the welfare of the citizens of Connecticut. His final statements, starting on page 31, relate to what is seen as an attempt by the president to consolidate power in his hands in order to regulate commerce and end slavery and to either purchase or conquer Cuba.
