Description

James McEachin discusses his book, “Pebbles in the Roadway.” He begins by explaining that his book is a collection of essays and stories, which he wrote in an effort to “purge the mind.” He shares his memories of serving in the army and his experience of serving during the process of de-segregating the military. McEachin goes on to read aloud from his book and discusses his experience working in television. He goes on to share his memories of the civil rights movement and how he regrets not becoming more involved at the time. Also he discusses his efforts to break into screenwriting and voice over work. He ends by sharing his thoughts on the Korean War and how it affected his writing.
