Mary Browner, 26, a part time student, was the last holdout in a sit-in demonstration protesting what the students termed the university’s failure to work actively in the civil rights area. All of the demonstrators except Miss Browner, 846 N. 15th st., had left the building before police arrived. Fifteen demonstrators singing freedom songs lined the sidewalk as three policemen carried Miss Browner to a police van. Miss Browner offered no resistance.
