Several members of the Republican in Virginia greet Presidential Assistant Howard Pyle upon his arrival at the airport in Roanoke, Va. Republican State Chairman I. Lee Potter discusses the convention's possible nomination of a candidate to oppose Senator Harry F. Byrd in the upcoming election and the convention's possible discussion and/or resolution of Virginia school desegregation. Potter states that the Sherman Adams-Bernard Goldfine scandal will not hurt the Republican; Potter discusses the lack of senatorial funding in the Republican party.
