Holograph, signed.Title supplied by cataloger.May describes the proceedings leading to the dissolution of the American Anti-Slavery Society. He criticizes the conduct of Wendell Phillips at the final meeting and states that the continuation of the Society would be wrongful and in contradiction of the national law against slavery. May informs Webb that the Freedmen's Aid has become very important.
