It was postmarked on June 26 in New York.Written on a paper on which "Constitution of the American and Foreign Anti-Slavery Society" was printed.In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, Joshua Leavitt expresses his belief that Mr. Janes would make a good agent for an anti-slavery society. He also talks about the reception of his recent speech, and expresses his wish to have it printed in newspapers, including the Liberator.
