Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper. Above the salutation the number "37" is written in pencil.In this letter to William Lloyd Garrison, George Thompson discusses his latest lecture and his plans for the coming days. He mentions plans to go to New York City with Wendell Phillips and then to Staten Island with Sydney Howard Gay before leaving for Springfield. Thompson also describes letters he received requesting he lecture in Indianapolis and Peoria, "show[ing] that there is a wide field in the west." He then asks Garrison for some topics to discuss in his speech at Washington, D.C. and requests that Garrison answer any urgent letters sent to him at the Anti-Slavery Office.
