Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on blue paper. There is a purple stamp postmarked "Phelps MSS." Above the first like is the number "39" written in pencil.James C. White writes to Amos A. Phelps about his efforts to not give up on the antislavery paper. He makes a few suggestions for Phelps to establish a new paper. He writes, "I purpose that vigorous efforts be made in the way of sending our private circulous & public advertisements...to every park of, and to every man in N.E. who would be at all likely to aid in receiving a subscription list."
