Description

The "Documents that Document! Historical Paper Chase" scrap book contained many of Bethel A.M.E. Church's historical documents, from handwritten meeting notes to printed programs. This collection of documents includes Sunday School Report (1908-1909), program from Dedication of Sacramental Table by the Womans Mite Missionary Society of Indiana (1912), Proceedings of the 93rd Annual Session of the Indiana Conference A.M.E. Church (1931), Silver Leaf Art Club program from Mattie Loretta Stoval recital (1932), 97th Annual Session of the Indiana Conference A.M.E. Church card (1935), Loyal Legion Club Bethel A.M.E. Church Jefferson W. Henderson Organ Recital program (1936), District Conference/A.C.E. Convention (1939, 1948, 1959), Bethel A.M.E. Church Garden Club History, Musical Program (1942), Women's Chorus Harvest Tea program (1942), Souvenir Program of Council of Bishops (1945, 1961), Deaconess' Certificate for Snobie Jones (1958), and Service of Dedication of Parsonage program (1966).The Bethel A.M.E. Church Collection was funded by a 2016 grant from LSTA. The digital partnership was a collaboration between IHS, IUPUI University Library (www.ulib.iupui.edu/digitalscholarship), and Bethel A.M.E. Church.
