Description

This document is a copy of a letter written to Andrew J. Hutchings, Esq. of Florence, Ala. from Christopher Hutchings. Mr. Hutchings references the death of his young son as well as the death of his mother. He writes of adminstering her estate and the sale of a slave. He includes a postscript, "The Texas fever rages high here- Doct. Butler, Saml. Hays, and Robert I. Chester have moved their slaves for that country and Edwin Rawlings has gone to fite for a fortune."
