Caption on back: "Since the inauguration of the Overseas Replacement Depot at Fort Lawton, sub-installation for the Seattle Port of Embarkation, Negro troops have accounted for approximately 25 per cent of the 20,000 "G.I. Ambassadors" who have passed through Fort Lawton enroute to Alaska, Japan and Korea for occupation duties. A group of GIs are pictured here practicing a sea rescue maneuver. 9-4-46.
