Phelps, Thomas Lafon discusses the circumstances around the death of Mr. Locke. He gives some extracts of letters informing about his death. After mentioning the seriousness of his wifés illness, Lafon requests that Phelps obtain a copy of the instructions of the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions to the several reinforcements of missionaries to the Sandwich Islands and send it to him
