Holograph, signed.William Lloyd Garrison comments humorously on the sale of George William Benson's estate. He proposes that Benson move to the vicinity of Boston to form "a little social community." William M. Chace is ready for a social community. Garrison is cheered by the news that his brother James Holley Garrison and is now in good spirits. He hopes that James H. Garrison will remain with George William Benson until George William Benson moves. William L. Garrison comments on the evils of drink and on his brother's noble traits. Gerrit Smith sent ten dollars to aid the Liberator. Nearly 500 Liberator subscribers have been lost. Some could not tolerate the Sabbath Convention.Merrill, Walter M.
