Deed of manumission dated February 14, 1857 by Ann Iglehart of Howard County, Maryland for her Negro slaves named Charles Hanson, Amos Hall, and Mary Jordan. Witnessed by Charles Iglehart and Justice of the peace R. C. Nicholson on February 14 and witnessed by Howard County clerk W. H. Worthington on February 17, the document identifies the slaves by age and service required before manumission: Charles Hanson, to serve 2 years from February 14, 1857; Amos Hall age 15 years, to serve for 25 years (until he reaches age 40 years) from December 26, 1857; and Mary Jordan, daughter of Angeline, age 6 years, to serve for 29 years (until she reaches age 35 years) from December 10, 1857.
