Original program for films shown the week of February 26, 1941 at the Strand Theatre in Ipswich, Massachusetts. This issue is a special Washington's Birthday edition and features an advertisement for the February 26 screening of Gone with the Wind. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh co-star in this historical drama about the American Civil War and Reconstruction periods.The second page includes two film advertisements. Here Comes the Navy is a romantic comedy about a cocky fellow who joins the Navy. James Cagney, Pat O’Brien, and Gloria Stuart star in this film scheduled for a February 16 showing. Flight Command is a war drama about a rookie flyer who joins the Hellcats Squadron. Robert Taylor, Ruth Hussey, and Walter Pidgeon star in this movie scheduled for screenings from February 17-19.Page three features an advertisement for the February 20 and 21 showings of Western Union. Robert Young, Randolph Scott, and Dean Jagger star in this western about the construction of the American railroad systems.The final page of the program is dedicated to a double feature screening on February 22. Haunted Honeymoon is a drama starring Robert Montgomery and Constance Cummings. This film follows the story of an amateur detective and his wife that writes crime novels. The second film is Girl in the News, a thriller starring Margaret Lockwood, Barry K. Barnes, and Emlyn Williams. This film is about a nurse acquitted of the murder of an elderly patient.Currently not on view
