Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee

Description

The only document contained within this folder is a SNCC-authored "Special Report on Southern School Desegregation." The content of the report is divided into several independent sections: the first highlights the school desegregation figures for 1965; while the second documents the political and bureaucratic tricks used by school districts to forestall authentic integration; and the third lists reports of harassment filed by African-Americans who had attempted to participate in desegregated schooling.
