Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.On verso, the letter is addressed to "Rev. Saml. May Jr. Leicester" and it is postmarked with a red, circular stamp reading, "[Har]wich Ms. Jul 26."Joshua H. Robbins writes to Samuel May stating that holding the convention on September 1 "is perfectly satisfactory to us." Robbins says they "are very desirious to have" C.C. Burleigh as one of their speakers and thinks the meeting should "commence Friday & continue over Sunday so get off a large & good meeting." He also tells May that they wish William Lloyd Garrison could confirm if he will come, saying that "our friends is [sic] anxious to see him again on the cape." He asks May to send him a letter with more information, in order to publish the details, stating "We think it best to have the meeting noticed as soon as possible."
