Loring, Anna

Description

Holograph, signed.Anna Loring's mother (Mrs. Louisa Loring) intended to send the enclosed ten dollars for her subscription to the Liberty Bell, "but has been prevented by a serious illness from which she has been suffering for the last fortnight, and which still confines her to her bed." Believing that the worst has passed, Anna Loring hopes that if her mother continues to improve, she will come to Boston and assist at the fair during the first two or three days. Anna Loring gives information about certain articles connected with the fair. Mattie Griffith was supposed to stay with the Lorings at their town house, and Anna Loring trusts that Maria Weston Chapman will find some other place where she can stay.
