Description
Eleanor Roosevelt made two visits to Pittsburgh in 1944, once in February and again in May. She returned in 1946 to dedicate a memorial to Franklin D. Roosevelt. George Brown joined the Pittsburgh Courier staff c. 1944. He would become the newspaper's city editor.
