Description

Eugenia Seaman Marks (1940 - ) was a student at the Woman's College, now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, from 1958 to 1961. She participated in the Greensboro Sit-ins in February 1960. Marks discusses campus life while she was a student at Woman's College. She recalls living in Shaw Residence Hall, an integrated dormitory. Marks remembers some of her favorite teachers including William Wright, Warren Ashby, Randall Jarrell, and Katherine Taylor. She also describes her participation in the Greensboro Sit-ins and how it influenced her life.
