National Committee to Defend Dr. W. E. B. Du Bois and Associates in the Peace Information Center
Description
Addressed to Paul Robeson; happily enclosing a $100 contribution towards the Committee's efforts and deeming their initiative "extremely important for the cause of civil liberties"; pointing out that he has not officially joined the Committee, nor has he altogether agreed to write an article on the case for the "Compass" (as suggested in mums312-b133-i150); and noting that "someone has been a little over-enthusiastic as to the degree of my participation in the Du Bois case."
