Description

Holograph, signed.Caroline Weston tells about a lecture by Henry B. Stanton. She mentions the ladies convention to be held in New York, and Theodore D. Weld. She describes an evening's entertainment at the home of Mr. Fuller. Also tells about a colored man who freed a thousand slaves. She tells the story of Miss Tappan and her discovery of Samuel Joseph May and the abolitionists. Caroline talks about her school. She reports the lecturing activities of William Lloyd Garrison and Henry Stanton. She mentions the eulogy of John Quincy Adams. Also mentions Henry C. Wright and George Benson.
