Description
Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript dated "10 mo. 1. 1847."Thomas McClintock writes William Lloyd Garrison stating that he had received a letter from Frederick Douglass, in which he relays having received a letter himself from Mr. Brooke in Cleveland informing him that Garrison's state of health is much improved, and that he is "out of danger" and will leave for Cleveland "in a few days". McClintock calls this information "cheering", and offers his house to Garrison's disposal when he should arrive in Waterloo.
